The Launch of fengshuijinyan.com
Author : - Dr. Edward Tsang (registered Chinese Herbalist & Acupuncturist ) Wu Zhu Metaphysician ( Master Jin Yan) Translator : Christine Tsang, CA The long awaited website of Master Tsang (Jin Yan) has been launched! I welcome all of you Feng Shui enthusiasts to visit my domain at www.fengshuijinyan.com. My excitement at the birth of this website is akin to that experienced at the birth of my first child over 30 years ago! The prime motivation of establishing my website is sourced from my masters in metaphysics. As a learned student of metaphysics, I have been taught to teach onto others, that has been taught to me. Create channels for metaphysics to be promoted, enabling for this school of thought to be shared amongst all, allowing a basic understanding of metaphysical theories to be obtained, and clarifying the misunderstood aura of ‘superstition’ associated with it. The use of Feng Shui being the main focus of the website is attributed to that it is a living science of our everyday lives, which, if applied appropriately, can enhance balance and harmony. I believe in “Yuen Feng”, the Chinese phrase more common known as “fate” in the English language. The emergence of fate, to its cessation is an inevitable cycle which we must endure in our lives. When the fate arrives we must cherish and nurture the good fortune bestowed on us, but when fate departs, be it related to a person or an event, we must also let it pass with good nature. Appreciating and taking pleasure in the process and experience related to the fate, and not the outcome, is the most important aspect in life. From learning about metaphysics to teaching this knowledge to others, this has been brought to me by fate. From the teaching I have gained an invaluable group of loyal and enthusiastic students, and this bestowed by fate also. I aim to be transparent and open in my teachings, and believe that although my students come to learn from me, I also grow in my own grasp of knowledge and learn from them. On this basis I generously share my wealth of knowledge with my students, and our sharing of views enables our analysis and studies to be more fruitful. My transparent attitude to my metaphysical learning is not totally met by positive feedback. Some have commented that this is not the correct attitude, some friends have kindly reminded me of a Chinese idiom “Training up a student, who will eventually forget their teacher”. I appreciate these thoughts and concerns, but I believe that humans are simply an active shell. One day this shell slow down, and be left empty. What was gained or learned will be lost with that empty shell, and I take the Buddhist attitude of “Coming with nothing, Leaving with nothing”. We must be prepared to leave behind what we gained, so what is there to lose with leaving our wisdom and knowledge, to those who may benefit from it, rather than letting it disintegrate with the eventual empty shell? That would be a profound wisdom one can reap – to leave everything gained behind with not an inch of doubt is the greatest gain! Developing my own website is a natural progression from my efforts to promote metaphysics to date. The electronic world has become the best medium to expand the network of knowledge sharing, and I hope that this ‘Yuen Feng’ or ‘fate’, can be brought to more lives around the world. Realizing this goal of mine would not have been possible without the work of my treasured students. They are a group of professionals with challenging careers, yet have contributed their personal time to create the fengshuijinyan website and make my dream a reality. I would like to express my gratitude to my beloved wife Connie – the editor of my writings, my lovely daughter Christine & good friend Joseph Cheng – the English translators for my articles; and close friend Mr Tse Sau Leung – the artist behind the fantastic photographer you witness on this site. Last but not least, my sincere thanks to my amicable brother Patrick Tang, and my gracious students, Raymond Chan, Edmund Chin,Tsu Fann Teoh, Mei Chan for your hard work and efforts. I also welcome and appreciate any comments from fellow metaphysician friends.
